One day, both sides of the harbour. The classic full-day orientation that has delighted hundreds of my guests: the Peak, old Central, the Star Ferry, Kowloon's markets — with proper coffee and lunch stops built in.
If you have exactly one day in Hong Kong, this is how to spend it. Eight hours, both sides of the harbour, all the icons plus the corners in between — paced so you enjoy it rather than endure it. We stop for coffee when you're flagging, snack when something smells good (it will), and eat lunch where locals eat.
Pickup: Anywhere on Hong Kong Island or in Kowloon — hotel lobby, cruise terminal, airport or West Kowloon Station. The route flows from wherever you start.

- 09:00 · Pickup and taxi up Victoria Peak — beat the crowds, skyline at its morning best
- 10:15 · Peak Tram or scenic walk down; historic Central: Statue Square, old Supreme Court, Duddell Street steps
- 11:15 · Man Mo Temple and Tai Kwun — incense, colonial cells and the city's best free heritage site
- 12:30 · Lunch: dim sum or a dai pai dong — your call, my recommendations
- 13:30 · Star Ferry to Kowloon (lower deck, engine-room view — trust me)
- 14:00 · Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and the Avenue of Stars
- 15:00 · Mong Kok: Ladies' Market, sneaker street, goldfish and flower markets
- 16:15 · Coffee break in a local cha chaan teng — Hong Kong milk tea, done properly
- 16:45 · Temple Street and Yau Ma Tei wholesale fruit market; finish wherever suits your evening
8 hours · up to 4 guestsAll prices are for a private group of up to 4 guests; each additional guest HK$400 (≈ US$50 · €45). Children under 17 join free on private family tours. Cruise-ship days, public holidays and special transport arrangements are quoted separately. On me: bottled water, plus MTR, Ding Ding tram and Star Ferry rides during the tour (Airport Express not included). Other transport, admissions and meals are paid on the day — you only pay for what you actually use. And at the end of the day: if time permits, I'll happily bring you back to your hotel myself — and if not, I always make sure you know exactly how to get home: I'll talk to the taxi driver for you, help you book an Uber, or walk you through the public transport route before we say goodbye. In accordance with Hong Kong law (Cap. 634), confirmed bookings are handled through a licensed Hong Kong travel agent.
