The first impression matters
At Tenz Spa (湯崎·湯泉生活TENZ), the experience begins before the treatments do. You step inside, hear a soft “Ni hao”, notice the slight bow and the hand to the heart, and the tone is set immediately: warm, polished, and quietly theatrical in the best possible way.
I have been there more than twenty times. The first few visits? I got lost. Now I know how to enjoy it properly: where to settle in, when to eat, how to navigate the rhythm, and how to turn a first visit into a genuinely indulgent day.
At a glance
- 24-hour, five-storey wellness destination
- Near Futian Port, easy from Hong Kong
- Massage, bathing, steam, rest zones, food & drinks
- Seasonal fruit can be extraordinary
- Most staff speak little or no English
Useful route background: East Rail to Lok Ma Chau, cross via Futian Port, then a short walk to the spa.
What Tenz Spa is — and why people talk about it
This is not simply “a massage place”. Tenz Spa is best understood as a soft-luxury mini escape: massage, steam, baths, food, drinks, fruit, rest areas, and enough space to spend half a day or more without feeling rushed.
Food & fruit
One of the real pleasures is the sense of abundance. Depending on the season, the fruit can include durian, mangosteen, cherries, blueberries and strawberries — all far more decadent if you are coming from Hong Kong prices.
Easy from Hong Kong
For Hong Kong visitors, the appeal is convenience. It feels cross-border and different, but it is still one of the easiest indulgent day escapes you can make.
Better with a plan
Tenz is so big that first-timers often waste the best part of the visit simply figuring out how the place works. The right pacing changes everything.
Insider tips that make the day smoother
Start gently
Do not rush. First-timers should arrive, settle in, understand the layout, and let the day unfold rather than trying to do everything at once.
Language reality
Most staff speak little or no English. Simple requests, screenshots, and a translation app make the whole experience much easier.
Find your rhythm
Good visits have a rhythm: rest, wander, snack, fruit, treatment, reset. It feels far more luxurious when the day breathes.
How I can join you
I do not present this as an official guided tour in China. Instead, I offer a hosted companion experience for guests who want the day to feel smoother, calmer and more enjoyable from the start.
- help with the Hong Kong-to-Shenzhen flow
- practical support on arrival and settling in
- language help and simple communication support
- advice on pacing the day, resting, eating, and what to try first
- experience-based suggestions to help first-timers avoid confusion
For guests who would like me to accompany them, I offer a special hosted rate at 50% off my usual private fee, based on a minimum booking of 8 hours. Details can be discussed privately, depending on timing and what kind of day you want.
Cross-border travel always depends on your own eligibility and the current rules in force at the checkpoint. This page shares my personal experience and planning support, not legal advice.
